Villa Grand Cliff is a stunning and luxurious 5 bedroom villa part of the luxury resort Karma Kandara. The complex, perched on a cliff, is located in the Bukit Peninsula, in Ungasan, and boasts a breathtaking ocean view and access (via funicular) to a gorgeous private beach. The complex also features one of the most famous beach club of the island, an amazing spa, renowned restaurants and a kid’s club. The complimentary car with driver will make it easy for the guests to explore other amazing locations of the island, places such as Padang Padang Beach, Pura Uluwatu, Seminyak, Canggu and Ubud. Indoor living areas

The front door of the property opens onto the middle level, home to an expansive living and dining room, with a fully equipped modern kitchen hidden away to one side. A glass wall at the front of the house overlooks a sheltered terrace, the gorgeous infinity swimming pool and enjoys a spectacular view over the ocean. The main indoor living space comprises a lounge corner with comfy segmented sofa positioned around a large TV with cable channels and Blu-ray player, a bar flanked by high stools and a dining table for 12, perfect for a social dinner in the comfort of the air-conditioned interior. Alternatively, you can enjoy amazing alfresco dinners on the outdoor dining tables, set by the breezy pool terrace. This multi-function indoor and outdoor space is wired for sound with top-quality speakers. Another amazing living space where to spend quality time with your loved ones is the dedicated home cinema room equipped with surround sound system, Nintendo Wii, Blu-ray DVD player with USB connection for external storage devices and massive projector screen. Completed with four leather La-Z-Boy reclining chairs, sound-proofed walls and a bar table, this entertainment room, along with the billiard table found in the atrium, won’t make you forget easily the time you will be spending in the villa. The kitchen is fully equipped, ideal for the guests who wish to show off their culinary skills, although most will probably prefer to sit back waiting for the personal chef to complete his magic.

Outdoor living areas

The outdoor area is as amazing as the indoor spaces. The gorgeous infinity pool is bordered by a stone deck furnished with sun loungers. On a lower level you will find a second outdoor space featuring a luxurious Jacuzzi tub, a timber deck furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas and a large relaxation gazebo with cushioned seating. Both the Jacuzzi and the gazebo are perched on the edge of the cliff – there is simply no escaping the breathtaking view. The villa also features a gas-fired BBQ grill station, so that guests can enjoy a BBQ seafood feast prepared by the chef and served at one of the alfresco dining tables.

Bedrooms

Villa Grand Cliff counts five gorgeous and comfortable bedrooms. The two master suites are situated on the upper floor, both equipped with air- conditioning, a wall-mounted TV, a walk-through dressing room, and an office area with a desk. Each master bedroom boasts an amazing view over the breathtaking ocean and features a private balcony furnished with funky chairs. Both rooms are serviced by luxurious en-suites featuring twin washbasins, a free-standing soaking tub and a walk-in monsoon shower. Adjoining one of the master suites is a sitting area and a smaller bedroom furnished with a double bed. Also this room features air-conditioning, flat screen TV, private balcony and private ensuite bathroom. The property offers two more bedrooms, one situated on the ground floor and furnished with twin beds, and the other located on the lower-ground floor and furnished with a queen-size bed and a folded sofa-bed. Both bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom; the twin bedroom is equipped with a TV, while guests in the queen-size bedroom can enjoy the luxury of the adjacent media room as well as being able to step directly into the luxurious Jacuzzi tub on the outdoor terrace.

Staff

Villa Gran Cliff is serviced by the amazing Karma Kandara’s staff. A dedicated butler will assist you during your stay and a complimentary car with driver will be at your disposal 8 hours a day. You will also have access to all the resort facilities, including the private beach club, the gym, the kids club, two amazing restaurants and the stunning Karma Spa.

We knew we had arrived somewhere very special when the villa doors swung open and we were met with cold glasses of punch and ushered through the enormous foyer and through to the outdoor entertaining area...and that view!!!! The water below is a stunning crystal clear mass of aqua and jade waters and just mesmerises you all day long. We travelled with our children who also loved this villa. It's huge so there's enough space for everyone (it would be perfect for a big group of friends to stay) and the kids especially loved the infinity pool (and the glass wall so you could see into the interior of pool from one of the bedrooms! Made for some fabulous photos!) and the movie theatre (they supply a tonne of DVDs for you too). The villa is fully staffed and the chef can cook any sort of meal you like in the villa. We loved his Nasi Goreng and delicious breakfast spread especially. Each day beds were made swiftly and out of our sight as well as bathrooms cleaned and linen replaced, we didn't even realise staff had done this as they do so very quietly and unobtrusively. The staff arranged for a team of masseuses to come to the villa and every member of the family (even Mr 5!) enjoyed a blissful one hour massage outside on the daybeds listening to the gentle crashing of the ocean below. Every single room in the villa has a breathtaking view of the ocean and it's truly the most stunning view we have ever enjoyed anywhere in Bali. We loved the hot cliff-front jacuzzi which bubbled away invitingly 24 hours a day, a cold glass of Moet in the spa after a day spent at the adjoining beach Day Club was bliss. As a guest of Grand Cliff Front Residence you can use all the facilities (gym, spa, beach club, kids club, restaurant) of the resort it is located in and then retreat back into your private mansion away from the crowds feeling like you are on top of the world. We will return many times over and are so pleased we found out about this five star luxury slice of paradise in Uluwatu.
