Description
Located in a secluded alleyway off Jalan Drupadi, Villa Alam is blessed with a fantastic location. It’s close to what’s known locally as ‘Eat Street’, where you’ll find a wide range of cafes, warungs and restaurants including famous names such as Ku De Ta, Gado Gado, La Lucciola, Tulip, Kura Kura, La Sal and Lestari. Also, just a few minutes walk away, is Jalan Dhyana Pura – a street rapidly gaining a reputation for its vibrant live music scene, quality restaurants and colorful shops. The beach too, is just at a short walking distance from the villa. The villas excellent location means that dining, shopping and spa facilities are all available within a radius of one kilometer!
Main building
The style is simple and minimalist, presenting clean lines, fresh décor and privacy. Overlooking the swimming pool and beautiful tropical landscape is the main pavilion, which houses the kitchen, living space and dining area, and an air-conditioned bedroom on both sides. The dining facilities consist of a luxurious dining table and matching chairs. The living space is ideal to spend quality time with your family or between friends. Kitchen facilities, located on the corner of the space, are complete with gas stove, microwave, juicer, water dispenser, refrigerator, crockery and glassware.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, overlook the garden and pool area. The beds can be configured as 4 king sized beds, or 2 kings and 2 twin beds. Two of the four bedrooms are attached to the main living space on either side, and the other two are in separate guesthouses – called the twin guest houses due to their similarity. Each guesthouse faces the swimming pool and is only separated by a lovely garden. Each room features a spacious wardrobe with safe deposit box and comfortable air conditioning. The bathrooms feature open showers with hot and cold running water and exclusive guest amenities and supplies.
Grounds & landscaping
The living and dining area flows to a private outdoor area where the swimming pool, pool-side bale, outdoor bar & grill and lush garden make for an incredible outdoor living space. The spacious double cushioned lounger on the terrace off the living room is a romantic spot to nap or read a book. The BBQ is the perfect spot for hosting a party for family and friends and celebrating a special occasion.

Our first trip to Bali - yahoo. We stayed here with our two children 11 and 12 and had a lovely time. The pool was definitely the highlight. Staff were great and in abundance which takes a bit to get use to if you like your privacy but with clear (read firm) instructions they are happy to leave you in peace. The property internally could do with a small spruce particularly the bathrooms but they are very clean and are a good size. Being that the rooms are all quite separate and the villa very open the children felt more comfortable sharing a room. We did feel that if the children had been much younger the arrangement of the rooms would not have been suitable for us (however I am a very clingy and paranoid mother). The beach is exactly a 15min walk and shops pretty much at the end of the driveway so overall we felt the location was great. My only tip would be if you are arriving late at night (and without any local cash - read his fault) order some groceries for your arrival to make a snack. We got by using the intended breakfast supplies in the fridge but not sure this is the norm. In sum, we will be back and highly recommend this place.

5/5We stayed in Villa Alam with some friends having transferred from Villa Saphir in the same Gang. Both Villas are fantastic and I could not separate them. Each has its own special qualities but really they are inseparable in terms of quality and comfort. We have stayed in Villa Bugis Villas on about 6 occasions over the past few years and we continue to be amazed by the quality of the Villas and their wonderful staff. This was no exception. On one evening we arranged for the staff to cook an Indo Banquet which was fantastic value. Great tasting food, no fuss and heaps of leftovers for all to share! There is no question we will be back. In fact, I might just have a look at some flights tonight ..........
