The Layar is one of the most luxury villa complex in all Bali, superbly located in an exclusive residential area moments away from the renowned Jalan Kayu Aya, Seminyak’s culinary epicenter. The Layar complex is composed of 23 gorgeous villas, offering all kind of solutions, from romantic 1 bedroom villas to 4 bedroom residences, ideal for families or large groups of friends. All the properties of the complex are characterized by a spectacular design, wonderful decorations and modern amenities. The most distintive characteristics of their peculiar architectural style are probably the pitched roofs that ‘fall’ dramatically to the ground and recalls clearly the shape of fishing boats sails (Layar means ‘sails’ in Indonesian). These beautifully styled villas recreates in a modern way the typical tropical open concept, with wide and light-filled open spaces.
The villa
The Layar four bedrooms villa is the perfect solution for large families or groups of friends. This luxurious villa boasts a stunning design, characterized by gorgeous sloping roofs, elevated gardens, split-level rooms and amazing interiors. The outdoor area features a beautiful swimming pool nestled in manicured tropical gardens. At one end of it you will have a lovely jacuzzi, while on the other end a spa with massage room and shower. The sun loungers on the pool side and the circular love seat will also make your stay extremely relaxing, while the outdoor dining table will be the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or amazing alfresco dinners.
The wonderful and large open-plan living and dining area is the perfect space to relax and spend unforgettable moments with your friends or family. This split-level area comprises a lounge corner with beautiful sofas, a dining space for eight set on a raised platform and a beautiful fully equipped kitchen with bar counter. Above this area is the mezzanine media room, a gorgeous attic-style space equipped with flat screen TV, DVD player, stereo system and a beautiful sofa that follows with its form the curved wall.
The villa features four gorgeous bedrooms, all featuring air-conditioning, TV with DVD player, seating areas and beautiful en-suite garden bathrooms with rain showers and luxurious bathtubs. One of these rooms is furnished with twin beds, while the other three boast king size beds.
The staff
The Layar complex has over 100 staff, all professionally trained and completely focused on making your stay no less than exceptional. The team is composed of villa managers, concierge, skilled chefs, butlers, housekeepers, spa therapists, gardeners, pool attendants and security guards. Even though all the villas feature fully equipped modern kitchens, the Layar offers an excellent room service menu and guests can book a private chef for amazing barbecue parties or special dinners!

We loved layar having stayed there for 3 days. The rooms are designed beautifully and functionally and is a dream for travellers.With options from 1,2,3 and 4 bedroom villas layar is a gem in Seminyak! Everything is close by and the hotel buggy drops you wherever you want to go. Our butlers Megha and the others were attentive and ensured we had an amazing trip!

5/5Was invited to a wedding in Bali and wasn't sure what to expect...! I was truly amazed when I saw our villa at the Layar....absolutely superb! Very private with our own pool, and a great place to be with my sisters. We were so well looked after...even transported to the nearby shops. Restaurant on the premises where we had breakfast and meals was extremely good. Our breakfasts could also be delivered to the villa and were again of a very high quality. Would be very keen to return to the Layar for a sisterly reunion again....we were looked after so well and treated like princesses!
