Description
The Mandalay Villas are two gorgeous connected properties that can be rented together offering a total of 11 bedrooms. The complex is immersed in a sea of terraced rice paddies, in the rural village of Munggu, 10 minutes drive away from the hip Canggu. A scenic stroll or short drive will bring guests to Seseh Beach, only 3 kilometres away, a quiet and peaceful stretch of black sand with a nice and not crowded surf break.
The village of Canggu, one of the trendiest areas in Bali now, is packed with restaurants, organic cafes, designer boutiques, homeware shops, sumptuous spa and renowned yoga studios. Tanah Lot, Bali’s signature water temple, and the world renowned Nirwana Golf Club, are also very close, only 20 minutes drive away.
The villas that make up the estate, the 7-bedroom Villa Mandalay and the 4-bedroom Villa Mandalay Dua, can also be rented individually.
Villa Mandalay
An open-sided bamboo pavilion with dining table and lounge corner, is conveniently set at end of the pool, offering a great unobstructed view over the green rice fields and the Indian Ocean, for the most amazing alfresco meals. The beautiful 15 meters long swimming pool is the focal point of the property, with the three pavilions that make up the villa surrounding it. This will be the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your friends and family.
The villa’s spacious and manicured lower garden with bale (Balinese gazebo) doubles as a six-tee ‘pitch and putt’ golf area and can also be used to host amazing celebrations or events, being able to fit up to 250 guests!
The interiors of this magnificent villa have been adorned with an eclectic collection of local artwork including beautiful paintings, carved wooden statues from Kalimantan and traditional artefacts.
The main pavilion hosts a grand dining hall, as well as a bar and two lounge corner with U-shaped sofas, arranged on either side of the dining table. The villa also offers an h ome theatre space set on the mezzanine above the dining hall. This space is fitted with a 62” flat screen TV, DVD player and large floor cushions.
The gorgeous massage room with Finnish-style sauna, located on the lower level, completes the amazing indoor living spaces of the villa.
Villa Mandalay offers seven beautiful and comfortable bedrooms, all furnished with king size beds and featuring wooden floors, TVs, dressing areas and ensuite bathrooms. The two larger master suites, boasting furnished terraces, can be found on either side of the main pavilion, while the four bedrooms located by the pool sides are all similarly sized and designed. The remaining room is instead found at the lower garden level, next to the sauna.
Villa Mandalay Dua
The gorgeous and large garden of the property is a space filled with tropical trees and characterised by beautifully kept lawns.
At the center of it's the long swimming pool comprising relaxing sun loungers lined up alongside and a beautiful thatched balé (traditional Balinese gazebo) with pool and paddy views, a blissful spot where to enjoy unforgettable massages or alfresco meals.
Two beautiful covered furnished verandas overlook this exotic oasis, one in front of the main living room and one outside the guest bedroom pavilion.
The garden also features a connecting door to enter the adjoining Villa Mandalay and access to a pitch and putt golf course on the lower gardens.
The large main living area is found on the ground floor of the main pavilion. This gorgeously furnished room will offer an earthy and homey ambience, as it has been decorated using natural materials like local stones, quality wood and straw. The large floor-to-ceiling glass sliding door overlooking the garden will also allow the beautiful natural light to flood the space.
The room comprises a lounge corner fitted with cushioned couches set around a coffee table and a large flat-screen wall-mounted TV, a beautiful wooden 10-seater dining table and a fully equipped modern kitchen with large breakfast island and bar stools.
Villa Mandalay Dua offers four gorgeous and spacious bedrooms, all featuring comfortable king size beds and flat screen TVs with DVD players.
The spectacular master suite takes up the entire first floor of the main pavilion, just above the living area. This beautiful room features wooden floors, tasteful furnishings and a large private terrace with spectacular views of the green surroundings and of the glistening ocean. The beautiful bedroom's en suite bathroom is also extremely spacious and it features stone flooring and a gorgeous bathtub.
The guest suites number 1 and 2 are located in a separate pavilion positioned in front of the pool. These bedrooms are identical and feature beautiful decoration, wooden artworks and en suite bathrooms fitted with all the amenities guests might need. The suites also share a common veranda overlooking the lawn and the pool, a blissful space where to unwind.
The fourth suite enjoys maximum privacy being located close to the entrance, just next to the main living room. This bedroom overlooks a large private green backyard and features a stone floored bathroom with plenty of storage space.
Staff
A team of friendly and professional staff, which includes also a talented chef, will serve guests during their unforgettable stay. They can organise and arrange any extra service guests might need and a car with a driver is available at a special rate.

Villa Mandalay was everything it promised to be. From the moment we booked until our departure all employees at Mandalay were extremely helpful and welcoming. The arrangement for check-in was very smooth and the managers Suka, Harry and all other staff members were easily contactable and were quick to offer their assistance. The chef Alit was superb and accomodate to all our dietary requirements. Villa Mandalay was tidy, comfortable and very spacious. Our pool was absolutely surreal and made our stay very relaxing. We were a bit far from most activities but it was very Pravin and I would definitely recommend this villa to others :)

5/5We spent 5 fantastic nights at Villa Mandalay for our Wedding week. From the moment we entered the grounds everyone was in utter awe of the villa. 13 of us over 7 bedrooms, and everyone loved every minute of it. We cannot speak more highly of Suka & the team that took care of us, they knew when to get involved and when to disappear for some chilling time, they were always found hanging at the front of the villa ready to assist. The food was excellent, ground immaculate and the pool was the most utilized during our stay we spent many moments cooling off. Our wedding felt like one out of a magazine, beautiful locations and we could not fault one thing on the day. The team at Villa catered and served at our wedding, it was absolute brilliant. The location is a bit out of the way, but with use of the car makes for easy transport. Thank you Villa Mandalay for the most amazing unforgettable experience and for being part of our special memories.
