Coco Jungle Villa

We stayed here as a family of 5 with two sets of adult couples and one child. The location is excellent and you are in a quiet portion of a busy and well serviced area. The two platinum Canggu Club memberships are great for the waterpark or gym workout. The staff very welcoming and friendly. The villa is two levels so not great for anyone with mobility issues. Other than that the design is great and rooms have beautiful views over rice fields and feel very peaceful and private. The pool is compact but big enough for a few kids and the small garden a delightful bonus. The minuses - to he honest it needs a good scrub and a bit of a facelift. Walls and cupboards are very scuffed and the attention to detail is lacking. Cooking implements are shabby, towels old, plastic bins out of character and porcelain stained - not insurmountable - but needs effort and a bit of care and renewal. Hopefully the owners and managers take care of this otherwise it will disappoint some guests given the luxury expectations. We had a good peaceful stay, made to feel very welcome and love the design but would expect higher standards of cleanliness and finish for this type of accomodation. So call in the painters, swap the cloths for a scouring pad, get some timber homewares and lift this place back up to the standard it can be and capitalise on its obvious charms and advantages.

Another pleasurable stay was had just recently at the Club Corner Residences, with this being my second time in this villa. It was like coming home, being warmly greeted by Ayu the villa manager and her staff, it is like seeing family again. Ayu makes the whole stay very personal, very relaxing and is a big part of why we choose to stay here and also want to come back. The managing company is also easy to deal with; very professional and very prompt in their responses throughout the booking process. The villa itself is kept immaculately clean and maintained, with beautiful gardens and spotlessly clean pool, plus a new pool table that was a lot of fun to play with as well. The aircon cools the large villa and large bedrooms with ease to a pleasurable temperature unlike some other villas I have stayed in that struggle under the Balinese heat. It is a large accommodating villa with which we love the space of and has fast reliable wifi and satellite tv. The location is in among the rice fields providing a very pleasant outlook. An added bonus is the complimentary Canggu Club access that villa guests have at their doorstep and this serves as an easy respite if you don’t want to travel into Seminyak or Echo beach for meals. In addition the facilities of the Club provide endless hours of entertainment with their water park, their gym, indoor trampolining and indoor bowling. There are also more new café’s that have opened within walking distance of the Villa and more are opening in the coming months adding to the appeal of the location.
